Open Data Kosovo
Storyboard, Illustration & Motion Design
In collaboration with Chaotic Studio
This project was created for Open Data Kosovo, an organization focused on promoting transparency, civic engagement, and accessibility to public information. I was invited by Chaotic Studio, a motion design studio, to collaborate on the visual development and animation of an explainer video designed to communicate complex civic concepts in a clear and engaging way.
My contribution focused on developing storyboards, illustrations, and motion sequences that translated abstract ideas—such as data transparency, public participation, and institutional processes—into simple, human-centered visuals. The challenge was to make technically dense and policy-driven content approachable for a broad audience without oversimplifying the message.
The visual language relied on:
Clear, modular illustrations
Strong visual metaphors
Consistent character design and iconography
Smooth, purposeful animation to guide attention and narrative flow
The motion design was structured to support the voiceover and narrative pacing, ensuring that each visual moment reinforced understanding rather than distraction. Every animated element was designed to function both independently and as part of a cohesive system, allowing the video to remain visually consistent from start to finish.
The final video served as an educational and advocacy tool, helping Open Data Kosovo communicate its mission in a more accessible, modern, and engaging format. The project demonstrates my ability to collaborate within a motion-focused team and to design visuals that clarify complex systems through storytelling and animation.
